10th District Assembly candidates Eric Guerra, Stephanie Nguyen appearing separately at town hall forums
In an unusual arrangement, California Assembly District 10 candidates Eric Guerra and Stephanie Nguyen will appear on separate nights at a sponsored town hall meeting.
Guerra, a Sacramento City Councilmember, and Nguyen, an Elk Grove City Council member, will appear on Wednesday, September 21, and Thursday, September 22, respectively. Advance registration is required.
The forum’s sponsors included the California Asian Chamber of Commerce, Asian Pacific American Public Affairs (APAPA), California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Indian Association of Sacramento, NAACP, and OCA Sacramento chapter. The event will be at the APAPA headquarters at 4000 Truxel Road in Sacramento.
Typically, candidates appearing in joint forums field questions from a moderator, the audience, or panelists. The format has not been specifically described, but the registration pages say Guerra and Nguyen “will share with you one-on-one about their vision for a better Sacramento, which includes tackling homelessness and crime, along with advocating for our small businesses.”
