Elk Grove and the Sacramento area were described by Spanish explorers as a Garden of Eden-like natural environment almost 200 years ago. Today, after 200 years of industrialization, not so much.

In just over two years from now, California will swear in a new governor. There is no shortage of aspiring candidates to replace Gavin Newsom.
