Assisted by Assemblymember Evan Low, Nguyen campaign canvasses Elk Grove & Pocket

A group of 60-plus volunteers and supporters gathered at Stephanie Nguyen for Assembly campaign Pocket neighborhood office for a canvassing effort. Assemblymember Evan Low (D – Campbell) joined in the effort, and Elk Grove Vice Mayor Darren Suen.

An Elk Grove City Councilmember, Nguyen is in a competitive race against fellow Democrat Sacramento City Councilmember Eric Guerra. During her spirited speech to supporters, Nguyen acknowledged the harsh tone of the campaign.

“We’ve got 18 days left, and during these last 18 days, it gets ugly, it gets nasty,” Nguyen said. “You’ll see a lot of negative things.”

Nguyen added that supporters would “squash all those negative lies and false accusations.”

Today’s canvassing was concentrated on Elk Grove and Sacramento’s Pocket neighborhood. Both areas are crucial for Guerra or Nguyen’s path to electoral victory.
