Bobbie Singh-Allen wins third term as Elk Grove Mayor
Neither Pastor nor Wheat can mathematically overcome Singh-Allen's lead with the remaining uncounted votes.
Initial vote tallies released by Sacramento County show incumbent Bobbie Singh-Allen with an overwhelming lead in the three-candidate race for Elk Grove mayor.
With 32,627 votes released in the initial tallies, Singh Allen has 69 percent of the vote, with 22,701 votes. The other two candidates, Brian Pastor, has 6,388 votes for 19 percent, and Lynn Wheat with 3,538 for 10 percent of the popular vote.
According to Political Data Inc., 44,117 ballots were returned as of yesterday, and 112,162 were mailed to Elk Grove registered voters.
