With a two-way tie for the second Galt City Council seat, candidates will draw straws tonight to determine winner

In the race for the two at-large seats for the Galt City Council, Tim Reed came in first place with 5,870 votes. The race for the second seat between Bonnie Rodriguez and Matthew Pratton ended with both candidates receiving 3,822 votes.
According to the Galt City Clerk's office, as allowed by California election law, the two candidates will meet tonight and draw straws to determine the winner. The election will then be certified at the December 17 City Council meeting.
Every vote does indeed matter.
