Elk Grove Police seeks assistance identifying, locating suspected bank robbers

Elk Grove Police are seeking assistance in locating two suspects wanted in connection with a May 2 bank robbery in Elk Grove. According to police reports, at 10:20 a.m. the suspects entered the US Bank at 9230 Elk Grove Florin Road, approached a teller while the other suspect in the dark hooded sweatshirt, pointed a gun at the employee and demanded money. The teller complied and and after taking the money, the suspects exited fled on foot.   

 Suspect one was described as a Black male, late teens or early 20’s, five feet five inches tall (5’5”), and thin build and wearing a black zip-up sweatshirt, blue face covering and was armed with the handgun. The companion suspect was described as a Black male, late teens or early 20’s, five feet ten inches tall (5’10”), and thin build and was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and a black face covering.

Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00.  Tips can also be sent to EGPD via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message.
