On Wednesday, February 14, the Elk Grove City Council held its third regular meeting of the year.

Among the highlights was a presentation to Dr. Tecoy Porter recognizing February as Black History Month. The city council also heard public comments during on non-agenda items where one citizen said homelessness in Old Town is worse than reported while others issued a dire warning.

The city council also received a report on the District56 Aquatics Center and affordable housing projects. The videos separated into two parts.

In any other situation, acceptance of cash from a death merchant or any other unacceptable behavior by an elected Democratic elected official would be harshly criticized from within the party.
