Elk Grove City Council meeting January 10, 2024
The Elk Grove City Council held its first regular meeting of 2024 on Wednesday, January 10. The meeting lasted for less than one hour.
Among the highlights include a presentation by an Elk Grove resident who suggested a replacement development, which includes an RV travel park for the the city’s Project Elevate. Negotiations for the ballyhooed project collapsed last year after Houston-based Hines Interest ended the development negotiation agreement.
The mayor and city council also heard from two Old Town residents who praised the city’s efforts to block the Oak Rose supportive housing project. That project, which seeks to help people wanting to regain housing, was moved from Elk Grove’s Old Town-Historic Downtown district to an unspecified neighborhood in city limits.
