Elk Grove City Council meeting, October 9, 2024
During the city council meeting, Elk Grove mayoral candidate Lynn Wheat spoke about the costs and liabilities taxpayers will be saddled with for the construction of a $302 million taxpayer-funded relocation of the Sacramento Zoo.

The Elk Grove City Council held its 18th meeting of 2024, which lasted only an hour and 10 minutes.

Along with making ceremonial presentations and hearing the Disability Committee's annual reports, the mayor and city council issued four proclamations. There were two public hearings.
