Elk Grove Police to conduct DUI checkpoint
The checkpoint will last for eight hours this weekend.
As part of the ongoing effort, Elk Grove Police have announced a weekend DUI and licenses checkpoint.
The checkpoint will be conducted between 7 p.m. Friday, July 19 and 3 a.m. Saturday, July 20. Per usual policy, the Elk Grove Police Department does disclose the location of their checkpoints.
Funding for the sobriety checkpoint is provided through a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety. The public is encouraged to call the Elk Grove Police Department at (916) 714-5115 (non- emergency line) or 911 if they observe impaired drivers on the roadways.
