Folsom man sentenced to 40 years for sexual exploitation of minor
A Folsom man who was convicted of using Snapchat to sexually exploit a minor was sentenced yesterday in U.S. District Court in Sacramento.

Matthew Goyder, 41, of Folsom, was to 40 years in prison by by U.S. District Judge Daniel J. Calabretta to 40 years in prison and a life term of supervised release for sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to court documents, Goyder used Snapchat to contact and sextort minor victims for sexually explicit images and videos. Goyder claimed to be a teenage boy when first contacting the victims.
A search of Goyder’s iPhone revealed found approximately 120 albums, with many albums labeled with a name and the victims’ age. This case was the product of an investigation by the Folsom Police Department and the Sacramento Valley Hi-tech Crimes Task Force.
