Guerra earns endorsement of Planned Parenthood for California Assembly District 10 race

Sacramento City Councilmember and California Assembly District 10 candidate Eric Guerra announced he has received the endorsement of Planned Parenthood Advocates Mar Monte.  Guerra is one of three Democrats and one Republican vying for the empty Assembly seat.

In making their announcement, the leading women’s health services group cited his commitment to his advocacy for women’s reproductive rights.

.“Eric Guerra has a history of successfully championing the policies that are crucial to uplifting patients’ lives,” Cheri Greven, Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Advocates Mar Monte said. “In a time when reproductive rights are under attack, we need leaders like Eric who will stand up against appalling attacks on the health care services Planned Parenthood health centers provide. The state of California is not immune to the rollback attempts sweeping across the country — Eric Guerra’s experience and track record of advocating for reproductive freedom speaks for itself.”

Guerra said he was honored to receive the endorsement and added “I have fought hard to protect reproductive freedom at every turn. In the Assembly, I will work with Planned Parenthood to build upon the work I have done on the Sacramento City Council to protect a woman’s right to choose, make sure there is universal access to reproductive healthcare and ensure that cost is not a barrier to those in need.”

Additionally, Guerra announced endorsements from Elk Grove Unified School District Trustees Nancy Chaires-Espinoza and Gina Jamerson.
