Independent mailers calls Hume ‘climate denier’ who says climate research is ‘voodoo science’
An independent group has taken aim at Republican Sacramento County Board of Supervisor District 5 candidate Pat Hume highlighting proclamations he has made as an Elk Grove City Councilmember.
The piece is headlined with “It’s 2022. Will Sacramento County be Tricked into Electing a Climate Denier to the Board of Supervisors?”
The mailer from the group called working “Families For Jaclyn Moreno For Sacramento County Supervisor 2022” appears to have been sent to Democratic voters. Moreno is a Democratic Cosumnes Community Services District Director.
The mailer emphasized comments Hume has made during his 16 years as a council member representing Elk Grove District 2, where he appeared dismissive of climate changes and environmental issues.
The video below shows comments made by Hume during a 2017 Elk Grove City Council meeting where he said aspects of climate science were “voodoo science.”
