Elk Grove City Council Meeting – January 24, 2024

Although a large group gathered for the meeting, they quickly dispersed after the Oak Rose housing project was canceled until the city council’s February 28 meeting. It was expected that Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen was going to announcement with Excelerate Housing, the developer of the Oak Rose supportive housing project.

In addition to this, the city council heard from one public speaker who expressed concern the mayor was ethically bankrupt for not disclosing her work relationship, which could have caused a conflict of interest during one of the hearings conducted.
