Martin, Brewer file campaign disclosures for Elk Grove City Council District 2 race
Following Mahavir “Kalli” Kallirai, Elk Grove City Council District 2 candidates Felipe Martin and Rod Brewer filed their fundraising activities with the Elk Grove City Clerk for the six months ending December 31.
Political newcomer and business owner Martin’s California Form 460 revealed he received funding of $100,250. Interestingly, Marti accepted one $250 from former Elk Grove Planning Commissioner Gary Winuk and loaned himself $100,000.Brewer, who has served for three terms starting in 2010 as a Director with the Cosumnes Community Services District Director, reported donations of $24,713, of which $9,522 was a personal loan. Brewer received mostly individual contributions along with these from businesses:
- PG & E – $500
- Super Pallet Recycling – $2,000
- Northern California Carpenters – $1,000
- Sacramento Area Fire Fighters Local 522 – $250
- JD Insurance Services – $500
After expenses, Brewer ended the period with $11,239 and Martin had $99,285. Other candidates in the race include Kallirai who reported contributions of $23,003 and Elk Grove Planning Commissioner Sergio Robles who has not filed his report.
