In Elk Grove’s 23 years as a California general law city, there has been an ongoing effort to resurrect the area known as Old Town. Some of the steps have achieved modest gains, while others failed.
In the last few years, efforts have been more fruitful. Along with the opening of the Old Town Plaza facility, the Dustbowl taproom has attracted more people to the area.
During the Wednesday, June 14, Elk Grove City Council meeting, a presentation explained a marketing program for the district now being called Historic Elk Grove.
