Middleton maintains narrow lead in Citrus Heights City Council District 5 race
With Tuesday’s vote tallies, Citrus Heights District 5 City Councilmember Porshe Middleton has maintained a razor-thin lead over challenger Natalee Price.
The latest tallies show Middleton with 1,949 votes for 50.3 percent, while Price has 1,926 votes for 49.7 percent. At one point in the race, the candidates were tied.
Countywide there are less than 12,000 uncounted ballots. There are an estimated 150 uncounted ballots left in this race, so with only 23 votes separating them, the race remains a tossup.
Middleton is seeking her second term four-year term.
