Moore, Rehman neck and neck in fundraising for Area 7 Elk Grove Unified School District race
Incumbent Carmine Forcina has forgone fundraising as he seeks his fourth four-year term.
In the three-person race for the District 7 seat on the Elk Grove Unified School District of Trustees, the two candidates challenging the incumbent are neck and neck in fundraising. Heidi Moore and Rehana Rehman have engaged in fundraising against incumbent Carmine Forcina, who has forgone fundraising as he seeks his fourth four-year term.
According to a financial disclosure filed with the Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections, Moore had raised $34.296 as of October 19, of which $10,611 was non-monetary. Moore has not received any additional contributions since that filing.
Moore has relied chiefly on individual contributions. One significant donation was from outgoing Sacramento County Supervisor Sue Frost, who donated $100.
As of October 19, Rehman had received $38,740, of which $12,635 was non-monetary. While Rehman has received some individual donations, the Elk Grove Education Association, the teachers' collective bargaining unit, has directed $27,068 to her campaign.
