n the 10th District California Assembly race’s competitive race, front runner Elk Grove City Councilmember Stephanie Nguyen slightly increased her margin of votes over fellow Democrat Sacramento City Councilmember Eric Guerra.

Vote tallies released this afternoon by Sacramento Voter Registration, and Elections showed leading Guerra by 457 votes for 29.93 percent to Guerra’s 29.41. Nguyen has 26,610 votes, while Guerra has 29,153.

Even though they remain in a statistical dead heat, Nguyen grew her lead from last week’s tallies. Nguyen has a lead of 457 over Guerra compared to 391 on Friday.

Maintaining third place is the late Eric Rigard with 27 percent. Finishing fourth is Democrats Rev. Tecoy Porter and Bennie Thomkins with eight and four percent, respectively.
