Rancho Cordova PD investigating late-night murder
A late-night homicide in Rancho Cordova is under investigation.
According to information from the Rancho Cordova Police, a 911 call was received on Friday, Agust 5 at 11:21 p.m. regarding a shooting that took place in the 3000 block of Ramsgate Way. The called told dispatchers her boyfriend was the victim.
Responding officers located the victim who suffered from a gunshot wound. The victim was transferred to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene, interviewed witnesses, and gathered evidence. No further information or suspect information is available at this time.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
