Rio Linda man convicted of child molestation, possession of child porn
A Riol Linda, Calif. man was convicted in Sacramento Superior Court on six counts of child molestation and one county of and one count of aggravated possession of child pornography. The verdict in the jury trial against Sayed Ali Reza Fatemy was issued on Friday, January 20.
On September 9, 2021, members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit within the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant on Fatemy’s Rio Linda residences. The search warrant was the result of a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone from inside the home was uploading videos of child pornography to the internet.
Fatemy faces up to 18 years and 8 months in prison. Sentencing is set for February 17, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. in Department 33 before Judge Laurel White.
