Robles formally announces Elk Grove City Council District 4 candidacy
Today Elk Grove Planning Commissioner Sergio Robles formally announced his candidacy for the Elk Grove City Council. Robles, who was nominated to the planning commission by former Elk Grove Mayor Steve Ly in 2020, is running for District 4.
“My commitment to Elk Grove is unwavering, and I will work daily to drive positive and lasting change for our community,” Robles said. “I am excited to run in District 4 and help enrich the city where my family and so many others enthusiastically call home.”
Robles filed his paperwork for his candidacy with the Elk Grove City Clerk’s office in late April. Before filing for District 4, last summer Robles entered the race for District 2 but dropped out with the entry of Felipe Martin and Cosumnes Community Service District Director Rod Brewer.
Among supporters are Elk Grove Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen and City Councilmember Stephanie Nguyen, who is running for the California Assembly District 10. Others endorsing Robles include Elk Grove Planning Commissioners Juan Fernandez, Sandra Poole, and Suman Singha, former Elk Grove Planning Commissioners Frank Maita and Mackenzie Wieser, and retired Fire Chief Mike McLaughlin of Cosumnes CSD.
Currently, Robles is the only candidate declared for District 4.
