Sac Dems sponsor ‘Mentors & Mothers’ canvassing event for endorsed candidate Mathews, Moreno; Guerra also speaks to volunteers

As ballots begin arriving in the coming days and recognizing the importance of women in politics on Mother’s Day weekend, the Sacramento Democratic Club held a canvassing effort in South Sacramento and Elk Grove yesterday.

The featured candidates of today’s event were Sacramento County District Attorney candidate Alana Mathews and Cosumnes Community Services District Director Jacklyn Moreno, who is running for the District 5 seat on the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors. In addition, all three Democratic candidates for the California Assembly 10th District race were invited, but only Sacramento City Councilmember Eric Guerra appeared.
