Sacramento joins many cities in today's 'Hand Off' protest against Trump, Musk
The protests reflect a mounting alarm among citizens alarmed by what they describe as an erosion of democratic values and Musk's unchecked influence.

Across the United States today, tens of thousands took to the streets in a coordinated nationwide protest "Hands Off" to express concerns over President Donald Trump's escalating attack on democratic norms, this week's unprecedented across-the-board tariffs, and the controversial actions of tech mogul Elon Musk.
The protests, held in over 1,200 cities, including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Sacramento, at the State Capitol, reflect a mounting alarm among citizens alarmed by what they describe as an erosion of democratic values and Musk's unchecked influence.
In Sacramento, thousands gathered peacefully at the Capitol, holding signs such as "Elect a Clown Expect a Circus", "Do Not Go Gentle into Autocracy" and "Wake Up This is The Government Our Founders Warned US about." See video below.
Recent polls show that Trump, Musk, and the Republican party are facing sharp declines in public favorability.
