Sacramento region is the 7th friendliest place nationally for EV owners

A new report by ISeecars.com, the Sacramento area is one of the best places for public access to charging stations for electric vehicles (EVs).

The study analyzes how many EV chargers are available per resident to determine the cities and states with the best and worst electric vehicle infrastructure.

  • The Sacramento metro area has one electric vehicle charger for every 1,111 residents, +51.3 percent compared to the national average of one charger for every 2,280 residents.
  • For chargers in the Tesla network, the Sacramento metro area has one charger for every 5,920 residents, +46.8 percent compared to the national average of one charger for every 11,124 residents.
  • The state of California is ranked number two in EV-friendly states, with one charger for every 881 residents. When focusing on the Tesla network, California is ranked number two, with one charger for every 5,281 residents.

With California legislatively mandated to transition to all new vehicles sold being non-fossil fuel by 2035, expect to see more charging stations pop up in your neighborhood over the next several years.
