Even though she has a gargantuan campaign war chest approaching $300,000 against two challengers who have not raised campaign funds, Bobbie Singh-Allen is leaving nothing to chance in her bid to win a third Elk Grove mayoral term.

Yesterday, we heard from registered voters who received unsolicited text messages from the Singh-Allen campaign. One Millennial voter who shared the image below was "pissed" that they received Singh-Allen's text message.

Interestingly, Singh-Allen, a supposed Democrat, again used the Trump-inspired campaign slogan, The Best is Yet to Come!

Although Singh-Allen is heavily favored to win, and the text message campaign seems overkill, she could have alternative motivations for this communication. Perhaps she is burnishing her image for her widely reported run for higher office in 2026.

Also, even though Singh-Allen only faces minor electoral challengers, perhaps internal polling shows she will win reelection with a plurality rather than a majority. If Singh-Allen does not break 50 percent against Brian Pastor and Lynn Wheat, it will expose her vulnerability for higher office in 2026.

One thing is for sure, at least one voter who received the text message was sufficiently pissed that they would not cast their vote for Singh-Allen.
