Survey in race between Moreno, Hume for District 5 Sacramento County Board of Supervisors appears

After a lull in activity, it appears candidates are re-engaging with voters in advance of the November general election. A current example of this engagement is a text survey that occurred today.

The survey was on the District 5 Sacramento County Board of Supervisors race between Elk Grove City Councilmember Pat Hume and Cosumnes Community Services District Director Jaclyn Moreno. The two Elk Grove-based candidates are vying to replace Supervisor Don Nottoli, who decided against seeking another term after serving for 28 years.

Although the questions centered on the Hume-Moreno race, there were other questions. Most notable were questions about two sales tax increase measures appearing on Sacramento County and Elk Grove ballots.

The survey sponsor was not identified, but the questions appeared slanted toward Hume. However, there were negative statements from both candidates.
