Fatal motorcycle, car collision under investigation by Elk Grove Police
The Elk Grove Police are investigating a collision involving a motorcycle and car that resulted in one fatality. According to police reports, at approximately 5:36 p.m. on Friday, October 13, officers responded to Elk Grove Florin Road, between West Camden Drive and Sheldon Road, regarding a two-vehicle collision.

Assemblymember Nguyen recognized by CCSD for securing veterans memorial grant
During their Wednesday, October 4 meeting, the Cosumnes Community Services District Board of Directors recognized Assemblymember Stephnie Nguyen (D – Elk Grove) for her help in securing grant money for a veterans memorial. Nguyen was instrumental in securing $100,000 from the 2024 State Budget for the project’s next phase.
