Tied – Citrus Heights City Council race still up for grabs

As reported earlier this week by Elk Grove News, one Citrus Heights City Council race was separated by only nine votes.

With yesterday’s vote tallies from the Sacramento County Voters Registration and Elections, that race is now tied

District 5 candidates Porshe Middleton and Natalee Price each have 1,523 votes. Based on the countywide average voter turnout of 46 percent, there are about 900 uncounted ballots in that race.

Of significance, while there have been 3,494 ballots counted in Citrus Heights District 5, so far, there were 448 voters who did not make a selection in this race.

The next release of vote tallies is on Tuesday, November 22.
