Viva la résistance! Pushback surfaces on Elk Grove City Hall, union and developer big shots’ Measure E propaganda
Whether you support Elk Grove’s onerous Measure E or not, there is no denying proponents are loaded with developer and union cash in their pursuit of the $23 million annual consumer tax hike.
Although there have been several so-called “informational” taxpayer-funded mailers, and this week, a slick multi-page mailer promoting the regressive tax hike, resistance has surfaced.
Several readers notified us that clandestine signs opposing the Measure are positioned around the city. No group or individual has claimed credit, but it is a tell-tale signal at least one person is willing to dip into their pocket and buy some simple advertising opposing the tax increase.
The sign in the above image was found on the corner of W. Stockton Boulevard and Sheldon Road. While Measure E has the support of establishment elected officials and candidates and probably gets approved for their efforts, we salute la résistance!
