Voices of Elk Grove – Parent claims to have found pornographic books in EGUSD school library
The American culture wars have arrived at the Elk Grove Unified School District.
During the Tuesday, April 5, 2023, Trustee meeting, one parent claimed to have independently found a book she described as pornographic in a school library. The parent who identified herself as Heidi Moore read a passage from the book she discovered titled “Identical.”
Ms. Moore’s remarks and reading were made during public comment on non-agenda items. Although Moore claimed to have found it on her own, the book is one on the list of most widely sought book bans nationally.
