Voices of Sacramento County – County Supervisors urged to support ordinance addressing waste flows
River City Waterway Alliance expresses concern
During the Tuesday, March 14 meeting of the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors, three environmental advocates urged the adoption of an ordinance to address waste flows and pollution into the American and Sacramento rivers.
The appeals came from three members of the River City Waterway Alliance. Along with displaying samples and photographs of the garbage at campsites along the rivers, they urged the supervisors to adopt an ordinance to mitigate some of the pollutants entering the waterways.
